Information: I want to take a moment to introduce myself as the new Neighborhood Development Manager at Matthew 25. I am excited to be part of the great ministry that has been taking place and even more excited to help grow our ministry into the future.

2012 is starting with much excitement as we continue to work with incredible individuals and groups of volunteers as we partner with local businesses, elected officials, nonprofits, and faith based groups to accomplish our mission. We continue to develop and enhance several programs which will build upon the tremendous flood recovery efforts. The Matthew 25 staff and I look forward to the opportunity to serve in our community not only in construction projects, but also to build relationships that touch lives in meaningful and long lasting ways. Look for announcements about our programs in the next several newsletters.

Bill has been a general contractor in the residential building business in the Iowa City/Coralville area for nearly 20 years, building over 150 Energy Star rated homes. Recently he has started worked with FEMA in the disaster recovery from the floods of 2008 and work as a sustainability consultant focusing on educating businesses, churches and non-profits about the cost savings methods and long term strategic value of being sustainable and planning in advance for disasters.

He has a Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of Iowa and has been trained in Federal Disaster Recovery by FEMA.
