Healthy Neighborhoods Event

Come learn more about efforts to revitalize the Time Check neighborhood and help us kick off the campaign to fund the next exciting phase of this initiative, which includes establishing a nonprofit grocery store and creating new housing.
The event will be held at our Cultivate Hope Urban Farm and will include a self-guided walking tour around part of the Time Check neighborhood, where you can see first-hand the impact of this initiative. Go inside the building where the grocery store will be, see the location of new housing that will be built, and meet some of our partners working on projects in the neighborhood. Representatives from the City of Cedar Rapids will also be present to talk about the plan for flood protection and the new 6th Street – Ellis Blvd connection.

The event will be from 4:00 – 6:30 PM, with a brief program at the urban farm at 5:00. Appetizers and beverages will be served.
