Why spend money on a new notebook when you can make one entirely out of materials in your home? Come learn how to upcycle that recycle into something useful and fun! Gather items from the list below and join us virtually on Zoom to learn how to make a cover and pages for a notebook.

Supplies:

  • Hard surface to work on
  • Paper for inside pages (recommend computer paper or large blank scraps)
  • Exacto knife or scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Flat recycling (cereal boxes, corrugated cardboard, thick postcard ads, etc.)
  • Paper/newspaper/wrapping paper (to decorate cover) optional
  • Glue (white glue & brush, glue stick)
  • Paper creaser (bone folder, back of a butter knife, fingernail)
  • Hardware: wire/O-rings/zip tie (to attach cover to pages)
  • Paper hole punch (if you don’t have a hole punch, you can use scissors/exacto knife)
