CSA: Support Locally Grown Produce

Enjoy fresh, local, sustainably grown vegetables, and support Matthew 25’s community mission.

Cultivate Hope CSA

A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share is a weekly produce subscription, but it is so much more than that. It is essentially investing early in the farm’s season and reaping the rewards all year! What’s more, a membership in the Cultivate Hope CSA is an investment in the development of a healthy food culture in Cedar Rapids.

Our CSA is $500 and runs for 22 weeks from May 12 through Oct. 6. We focus on the basics that you already know what to cook with, but try to include something new and exciting every week.

This year, we will also be providing some of our CSA shares to low-income households at a discounted rate. If you are interested, you can donate one-half, one-quarter, or the full price of a CSA to allow other families to receive fresh, local produce to make healthy meals at home. Check back in early 2023 to learn how to donate towards a CSA share through our Square website.  Or, if you’d like to support the Cultivate Hope program as a whole, you can donate online by clicking here.

If you are interested in receiving a discounted CSA share through our Farm Fresh Friends program, please email Matt McGrane at mattm@hub25.org.

Beyond providing local produce, Cultivate Hope strives to create a thriving food culture in Cedar Rapids. We will be hosting fun events and classes on the farm through the season so you can really see where your food comes from and get to know your neighbors. Check out our Facebook page or website to stay up to date with these events!
